ZeroStack announced that its Self-Driving Cloud Platform can now detect and provide selective end-user access of NVIDIA GPUs to deliver GPU-as-a-Service. This makes the ZeroStack platform the first solution to offer cloud-based, fine-grained access to GPU services.

ZeroStack’s GPU-as-a-Service capability gives customers powerful features to automatically detect NVIDIA GPUs hosted on multiple physical servers and make them available within the ZeroStack environment. ZeroStack cloud administrators can then configure, scale, and allow fine-grained access control of GPU resources to end users. Users can enable GPU acceleration, deploy new machine learning and deep learning workloads with tools such as TensorFlow, Caffe, etc., and provide the applications with dedicated access to multiple GPUs for order-of-magnitude faster inference latency and user responsiveness.

Cohesity announced an expansion of the Cohesity Partner Program that empowers service providers to rapidly build and deliver highly differentiated secondary data and application services to meet the growing demands of enterprise customers. Service providers that join the Cohesity Partner Program can now utilize new capabilities in the Cohesity DataPlatform including multi-tenancy, tenant self-service, and chargeback reporting to deliver high-value services across private, public, and hybrid clouds within one web-scale platform.

Cohesity also announced today the Cohesity Powered trust mark, a designation available only to qualified partners who build their businesses on Cohesity’s trusted platform and adhere to strict quality standards. The trust mark enables partners to further differentiate their value in the market while driving customer preference for their innovative services.

Cloud, SD-WAN and security are in the midst of an evolution that is quickly growing in importance and will eventually dominate the WAN-edge architecture. The new report by R. Scott Raynovich, Futuriom, makes the important point that: "Cloud networks have entirely different requirements from client/server networks. They need to connect a variety of physical and virtual endpoints, including branches, private data centers, and the Internet."

When we consider the digital frontier, our inclination is typically to look at how changes in technology are changing industries. And in a lot of ways that makes sense given the fact industries are capable of adopting and implementing on a large scale, and thus they showcase the potential impact of certain aspects of new tech.

The cloud can provide a method for individuals to regulate their stress on a daily basis in a way that previous generations never before had the ability to do; ultimately that means stress as a whole may take a back seat for some individuals, which is right where it belongs.

In light of the implementation of GDPR on May 25th, a recent revealed 56% of respondents plan to use private or multi-cloud platforms within the next 18 months. Even though these types of platforms offer many benefits to companies all around the globe, it has been found that the average European enterprises are especially prone to taking advantage of their many benefits and are using an average of 608 cloud apps. This signals a shift in the focus that organizations have to place on data security measures and compliance, and while you might likely understand how to use cloud computing and storage services, it is important to understand how to update them to meet these compliance measures as well.

Software AG today announced the acquisition of Built.io, a San Francisco-based market-leading iPaaS company. Founded by serial entrepreneurs Nishant Patel, Neha Sampat and Matthew Baier, software vendor Built.io introduced its iPaaS offering, Built.io Flow in 2015. It has subsequently been named a Challenger in Gartner’s 2018 "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service" and was named a Cool Vendor in the report "Cool Vendors in Pervasive Integration, 2016."

Built.io’s Flow and Embed products will come together as a single integrated offering with Software AG’s globally recognized webMethods Integration Platform.
