Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management, announced the appointments of 23-year veteran and three times Microsoft MVP, Robert Corradini, to lead its robust alliances programs as Director of Alliances, and fellow Microsoft MVP, Jeff Pitsch, as Senior Solutions Architect, effective October 2018. These appointments come at a strategic juncture, as the company works to expand its Amazon, Microsoft and Nutanix alliances in order to help organizations navigate the virtual desktop landscape, while continuing to deliver a more enhanced customer experience through its additional longstanding and key alliances with Citrix and VMware.

The Instillery, a public cloud consulting and managed services company, has leveraged the Cloudamize cloud computing analytics platform to plan cloud migrations three times faster for enterprises moving to Amazon Web Services (AWS). Datadog announced comprehensive end-to-end monitoring for AWS Lambda functions. This capability is made possible by the release of a new integration with AWS X-Ray, which traces serverless calls while they run on AWS-operated infrastructure. Traces from AWS X-Ray, as well as metrics and logs data from Lambda functions, are available in a new serverless-centric user interface called Datadog Cloud Functions. Both of these new features are available for public beta.

While serverless functions can simplify development and scaling in certain areas of an application, they have also introduced significant complexity in performance monitoring. AWS Lambda runs on AWS-operated infrastructure where traditional instrumentation methods cannot be deployed. Without insight into this infrastructure, DevOps teams face blind spots where performance issues can occur for applications that rely on AWS Lambda.

Thanks to the new Altaro Office 365 Backup for MSPs, being launched today, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now provide their customers with backup and recovery services for Office 365 Exchange mailboxes, by automatically backing them up to Altaro’s Microsoft Azure infrastructure. With this latest offering, Altaro extends its B2B data protection solutions beyond virtual machine (VM) backup for which it is already widely known and praised, counting more than 8,000 partners and MSPs worldwide.

It is essential for businesses to back up user Office 365 mailboxes so as not to lose critical data in the case of accidents such as unintentional mailbox deletion, or attacks such as malicious user actions or malware.

As Microsoft does not back up Office 365 subscriber data, Altaro’s new offering enables MSPs to provide their customers with robust, reliable mailbox backup and recovery services.

Caveonix, the company providing proactive defense against risks in hybrid cloud environments, today announced that RiskForesight is available to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware’s enterprise-class Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and elastic, bare-metal infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give organizations consistent operating model and application mobility for private and public cloud. Caveonix’s RiskForesight product delivers proactive risk management to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.

RiskForesight is a multi-tenant cyber risk and compliance management platform for the hybrid cloud, enabling service providers to offer full workload protection to their customers. RiskForesight’s patented engine, CaveoIQ, leverages predictive analytics and machine learning to build IT, cyber and compliance risk mitigation models across the full cyber control plane to ensure security, network, compliance and policy enforcement of all cloud-based workloads.

Druva, Inc. today announced significant updates to Druva CloudRanger, Druva’s data protection solution for AWS workloads, including the industry’s first advanced automated disaster recovery, legal-hold, and file level search. Part of Druva Cloud Platform, these enhancements enable businesses utilizing AWS cloud environments to protect against unplanned events, better manage the lifecycle of their data and respond rapidly to compliance and legal data inquiries.

As enterprises continue to migrate application workloads to the cloud, ensuring disaster recovery and managing underlying data governance has become a critical need. Fugue announced the release of Fugue Risk Manager. A new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, Fugue Risk Manager is designed to make it easier for enterprises to identify compliance issues in their cloud environments and prevent them from reoccurring.

Fugue Risk Manager inspects cloud infrastructure environments and identifies resource configuration issues for common compliance regimes, including AWS CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53 Rev. 4, GDPR, HIPAA, and custom controls specified by the customer. Once violations are corrected and a known-good baseline is established, Fugue Risk Manager can automatically identify configuration drift and revert it back to the established baseline as soon as it occurs.
