Threat Stack announced its plan to export cloud infrastructure security telemetry directly to its customers’ Amazon S3 accounts in order to enhance security observability. With access to contextualized runtime and behavioral analysis data from the Threat Stack Cloud Security Platform through Amazon S3, Threat Stack customers will be able to achieve complete full stack security observability of their cloud infrastructure.

With a direct data export to Amazon S3, Threat Stack helps customers unlock the true value of their data by eliminating the data silos often created by traditional security tools. Threat Stack customers and partners will now be able to combine Threat Stack’s contextualized information from the control plane, host, container, orchestration, and application layers with other security signals to gain much greater insight into their security ecosystem.

AT&T is helping business customers reduce the risks in cloud storage by offering Cloud Recovery with Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS), which is supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS). 

This new service offering from AT&T will help businesses recover faster when a disaster impacts their cloud storage and services. The service works for hybrid environments, too. Businesses can back up combinations of their off-premise and on-premise systems, whether they’re physical or virtual, to AWS. 

In most cases, recovery can be done in four hours or less. AT&T will be adding support for more cloud environments throughout the year. 

Sysdig, Inc., the cloud-native intelligence company, announced the availability of the first deployment of IBM Cloud Monitoring with Sysdig, a monitoring service for application visibility, alerting, and troubleshooting for enterprise DevOps and IT teams building and running business-critical applications. With IBM Cloud Monitoring and Sysdig, teams are equipped to monitor applications despite the complexity of today’s cloud architecture with many moving parts like containers and microservices.

With this release, the new IBM Cloud Monitoring service with Sysdig is offered to IBM Cloud customers as they provision new servers and manage existing ones. This positions users to view, measure, and troubleshoot performance across their applications and infrastructure on IBM Cloud. Once the Sysdig agent is deployed, metrics are automatically collected for the source.

Teradici, the creator of industry-leading PCoIP technology and Cloud Access Software, today announced a collaboration with Avid, the leading technology provider that powers the media and entertainment industry, to launch a cloud video editing offering for professional editors, movie makers, and multimedia journalists. The new joint solution combines the Teradici PCoIP-powered Cloud Access Software and Avid Media Composer to enable these creative professionals the ability to securely access and edit video content remotely from their private data center or from the public cloud with low latency and full color accuracy.

Virtustream, an enterprise-class cloud company and a Dell Technologies business, today announced a major upgrade to Virtustream Enterprise Cloud that includes significant cloud automation and security enhancements, which enable enterprises the unprecedented ability to automate key tasks while maintaining security levels – a multi-part process that previously required manual oversight. This technology evolution builds on Virtustream’s expertise in delivering highly scalable, secure and high-performance cloud services for mission critical enterprise applications.

The enhancements also feature a foundationally new version of the xStream cloud management software platform including an enhanced architecture and application programming interface (API), in addition to the ability to address many of the specific challenges presented when migrating and managing enterprise applications in the cloud.

Cloudistics, the cloud software platform company, today announced record customer adoption of its Cloudistics platform over legacy infrastructure. Cloudistics has gone beyond the limits of legacy virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructures with a full-fledged private cloud that offers a premium experience for organizations that want to escape the status quo and transform IT service delivery within their organization. The company saw a 400% growth in customer adoption over legacy models from last year to this year.

DigitalOcean, the cloud for developing modern apps, announced that its managed Kubernetes service is now available with production-ready functionality and full customer support. Since launching its early access release in May of this year, 30,000 developers and teams have already signed up for access. Starting today, the service is available to all developers worldwide.

Business goals are not enough to compel companies to move to the cloud-rather, it is the maturity, flexibility and reliability of cloud technology that are driving companies to increase and expand their adoption, according to the latest report released by the Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of a family of open source projects including Cloud Foundry Application Runtime, Cloud Foundry Container Runtime, and Cloud Foundry BOSH. The report was announced at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2018.

"As IT decision makers have experienced the impressive benefits of the cloud, they have broadened their adoption to more sophisticated technologies in the platform and application development layer of the stack, such as PaaS, containers and serverless," said Abby Kearns, Executive Director, Cloud Foundry Foundation.
