At the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2011, Syntergy, Inc., a leading provider of products for enhancing Microsoft SharePoint® Products and Technologies, demonstrated its flagship product, Syntergy Replicator for SharePoint, as a cloud solution. Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, and on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction…

Demonstrating replication between Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint farms hosted in an on-premise data center and Amazon EC2 servers in Asia and North America, Syntergy unveiled the ability to have either a completely distributed cloud solution or a hybrid of on-premise and cloud-based replication.

Syntergy’s replication solution for the cloud enables organizations to free themselves from single and self-managed data centers. With the Syntergy hybrid replication solution, customers can move content to and from the cloud. For example, hybrid replication can move content from an on-premise server, like SharePoint in-house, to a cloud-based server, such as Microsoft Office 365.

"Even with the elastic computing the cloud provides, Syntergy is the only vendor to offer failover or replication across the available cloud data centers," said David Seaman, VP of SharePoint Technologies, Syntergy. "With Syntergy Replicator simplifying content transfer into and from the cloud, SharePoint can be available in each local region with a cloud based disaster recovery."
