SoftLayer Has Record-Setting Second Quarter

SoftLayer Technologies on Tuesday announced that the company experienced continued operational and financial growth in the second quarter of 2011, hitting all new records. Along with other achievements, the company earned $83 million in revenue for the period…
"This has been the greatest quarter of growth in our history," said Lance Crosby, Chief Executive Officer for SoftLayer. "From the innovations we bring to market to our corporate performance and beyond, SoftLayer believes in setting challenging goals and then working harder than belief to attain them. I’m exceptionally proud of the effort from all levels and functions across our company."
Key milestones for SoftLayer through the end of June this year have included:
- $83 million revenue
- $33.6 million EBITDA
- 26,000+ customers across 140+ countries
- More than 85,000 servers under management
Significant achievements, updates, and launches have included:
- Technology Partners Marketplace
- SoftLayer Managed Hosting
- San Jose Data Center
- New Referral Partner Program
- Public Cloud Computing Image Sharing
- SoftLayer Email Delivery Services
"It’s been a tremendous year for us so far, and we have even more on tap for the third and fourth quarters," added Mr. Crosby. "We just released our Local Storage option for CloudLayer Computing instances. And in addition to our international expansion to Asia and Europe, we are in final stages of development on some important releases that bring even greater capabilities across our core offering.
