Logicworks, provider of cloud computing and managed hosting, announced Tuesday new updates to its public cloud platform that will bring enhanced management capabilities and cost savings to customers. Integrated with Logicworks’ array of managed services, the public cloud is built to seamlessly sync with existing enterprise IT infrastructures and deliver the performance needed to power mission-critical applications.

Logicworks has taken an enterprise approach to its public cloud offering, integrating functionality previously available exclusively to private cloud and managed service customers. These updates incorporate a management interface, giving clients increased control and ease of use under one dashboard. Further updates include enterprise-level support, multi-cloud manageability, RightScale-supported configuration management and lower pricing…

"Clients have stressed the importance of having agility in their private and public cloud implementations which is often difficult to find under one roof," says Kenneth Ziegler, CEO of Logicworks. "With these updates, subscribers can now manage their entire infrastructure through a single pane of glass, accessing unparalleled control and real support from our veteran engineers."

Logicworks cloud is built on Citrix’s CloudStack platform and backed by enterprise monitoring tools from ScienceLogic and non-commodity storage from EMC Isilon. These updates enable Logicworks’ customers to manage their public and private cloud resources through a single control panel. With the focus on enterprise usage of these resources, clients now have more customization options to align their cloud strategy more closely with the specialized necessities of their individual businesses.

Along with the platform’s increased scale, Logicworks is also lowering its public cloud pricing by 17 percent, making their public cloud competitively priced enterprise Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering available in the market. Further, it is backed by Logicworks’ top-tier systems administration and offers multiple availability zones to ensure that applications stay up and running with consistent, uninterrupted service.

"With unprecedented cloud adoption underway, clients seek us out to help them implement the right cloud solutions for their specific applications," says Ziegler. "We will continue to iterate our cloud services to meet these ever-changing business requirements across applications and business models."
