Logicalis US Expands Cloud, Data Center Offerings

Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed services provider (www.us.logicalis.com), today announced an agreement with IO, a global leader in software-defined data centers, to build a Logicalis data center presence in IO’s Dayton, Ohio, data center operations facility.

Logicalis already had existing deployments in the IO Phoenix and IO New Jersey data centers, extending the cost, agility, security and efficiency benefits of the IO Intelligent Control? platform to Logicalis’ clients on both the east and west coasts. Today’s announcement expands these offerings with additional compute resources strategically located in the central United States, an important expansion for Logicalis’ clients…

The way enterprise organizations are purchasing technology is undergoing a dramatic change today, with many moving toward an on-demand model for fulfilling their information technology needs. As a result, providers of high-end computing services must prepare for the continued growth of the as-a-service market and build appropriate infrastructure to meet the demands of their clients, something Logicalis is doing by creating additional compute resources within the strategically located, world-class and highly certified IO data center facility.

The agreement with IO will expand the services available to Logicalis’ dedicated cloud customers and offers a new failover location to customers served by the Logicalis Enterprise Cloud East and West operations. In the coming months, the Logicalis On-Demand Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), a self-managed, multi-tenant public cloud infrastructure, will also be housed in the IO facility. The new central location with an on-site Logicalis presence completes Logicalis’ nationwide data center strategy, allowing Logicalis to expand its data center and cloud services, including private cloud and data center as a service (DCaaS).
