DataStax Launches Commercial Kubernetes Application to Google Cloud Platform Marketplace UsersJuly 27, 2018
DataStax today announced it will offer approved Docker DataStax Enterprise (DSE) containers on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for Google Cloud Platform Marketplace (GCP Marketplace) users. The new offering will give customers the ability to easily integrate DSE with native Google Cloud services like Compute Engine or Cloud Storage, with no manual configuration required.
GCP Marketplace is based on a multi-cloud and hybrid-first philosophy, focused on giving Google Cloud partners and enterprise customers flexibility without lock-in. It also helps customers innovate by easily adopting new technologies from ISV partners, such as commercial Kubernetes applications, and allows companies to oversee the full lifecycle of a solution, from discovery through management.
"To remain competitive and deliver on user demands, organizations adopting cloud need ready access to trusted, tested and portable applications that can run across their entire infrastructure. At Google Cloud we strive to make it as easy as possible for customers of all sizes to deploy, purchase and manage leading solutions in the cloud," said Jennifer Lin, Director of Product Management Google Cloud. "The availability of commercial Kubernetes applications from providers like DataStax is a critical part of extending enterprise investments and can simplify adoption of container-based infrastructure no matter what environment they operate in, either on-premise or in the public cloud."
DataStax powers the Right-Now Enterprise with the always-on, distributed cloud database built on Apache Cassandra and designed for hybrid cloud. The foundation for real-time applications at massive scale, DataStax Enterprise makes it possible for companies to exceed expectations through consumer and enterprise applications that provide responsive and meaningful engagement to each customer wherever they go.
"DataStax Enterprise on Google Kubernetes through GCP Marketplace will allow customers to develop applications faster, easier and at scale through our integrations with popular Google Cloud services," says Matt Rollender, Vice President of Global Business Development at DataStax.
