“We cannot be more pleased with the technology and performance of the CenturyLink network and the advantages it is bringing our clients,” commented Dan Cullen, CoSentry Vice President and general manager of network operations. He continued, “We have since upgraded to full Tera-PoP facilities in order to have 10GB to 100GB services available to our clients.”
The project allows clients to purchase integrated cloud and network services at a significant discount and to take advantage of CoSentry’s VBlock systems, backup cloud services, as well as archiving and virtual data center platforms…
“We knew where CoSentry wanted to take its clients and we had the network to get it done, said Danny Pate, vice president and general manager of CenturyLink-Nebraska. “Our collaboration has made it possible to deliver fully-integrated services within aggressive timelines.”
The collaboration required extensive planning and design as well as multimillion dollar investments in Nebraska by both CoSentry and CenturyLink. The project will include the latest technologies from VCE (Cisco, EMC, VMWare collaboration) in an “on demand” vData Center environment.
“This is precisely what clients have been requesting,” said Rick Berger, CoSentry Director of Sales. “World class technology…full data center capabilities, not just cheap micro servers, on a pay as you go basis.”
CoSentry says this is the first of several new cloud initiatives due for release in 2012. The CenturyLink network will be used as part of the primary backbone for all of CoSentry’s six data centers.
