Cloud computing makes a variety of computing services available to companies of all sizes when they require them. It allows providers to offer a range of physical resources, such as processors, data storage, applications, and platform access for these companies as well as developers. Providers accomplish this by having extensive server farms strategically located around the world.
Now, ScaleMatrix (News – Alert), has announced a data center expansion. The increase brings the company’s data center presence total to 96 thousand square feet. The significance of this move means that users and companies can gain access to massive computing and storage resources beyond what was formerly provided by ScaleMatrix to its users…
With greater datacenter services, developers and customers can access a variety of services that form a platform, while accessing development tools for substantial application development. Companies can create scalable applications off-premises by accessing a comprehensive set of development tools, services, and management systems via ScaleMatrix. Included among ScaleMatrix’s services are hybrid cloud solutions, cloud storage, SaaS, IT service portability and more.
ScaleMatrix previously launched its Green Giant Data Center in the same area last year, providing colocation services to companies in industries such as healthcare, gaming and finance. These types of services allow users to pay only for pro-rated computing services and usage. The result is that smaller companies can eliminate the need for physical hardware as well as the expenditures it entails.
In relation to this development, ScaleMatrix also pointed to its Value Added Reseller partnership with CA (News – Alert) to resell the company’s data protection solutions known as CA ARCserve. Along with its presence in the San Diego, California area, the ScaleMatrix also operates a data center in Katy, Texas. Linking the facilities provides for a 10GB private transport ring.
