Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, is today hosting California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s unveiling of his plan to shift California’s economy into high gear, focusing on expanding exports, green industry, and new manufacturing.

The Lieutenant Governor’s unveiling at Wyse is a reflection of the success Wyse has had in remaking itself into a cloud client computing company, a transition that has resulted in major sales gains, and significant hiring, for the pre-IPO company…

Cloud client computing addresses economic and productivity challenges faced by government and industry by replacing the PC with smart, cloud-aware devices, that use 90 percent less energy, cost a fraction to own, and increase security, yet provide workers with the same programs as used on the PC.

Wyse, joined by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, is hosting the event at its Silicon Valley headquarters beginning with a press conference at 11:00, followed by lunch and panel discussions on key topics for California, with panelists including Lt. Governor Newson, San Jose City Mayor Chuck Reed, and executives from SAP, Virgin America, Huawei, BofA Merrill Lynch, SVLG, Wyse and others. The program will be attended by an estimated 300 VIPs, community and business leaders.
