This traditional full IT model may be widely used but new technologies are changing the IT industry forever.

Microsoft has begun a months-long rollout of Delve, the first Office 365 application that taps into the suite’s Office Graph machine learning capabilities and maps connections between co-workers, documents, and information. Delve, announced in March with the code-name Oslo, is designed to automatically surface colleagues, files and data that are more relevant and important to users’ work.
IBM SOA is used to implement cloud systems that stretch the boundaries of the enterprise to user end points, permitting marketing departments to target smartphones, implementing management decentralization and supporting user empowerment. SOA forms the base for business intelligence (BI) and analytics systems. It enables organizational ability to perform diagnostic analytics.
Last week I visited VMworld 2014, where a horde of steely-eyed virtualization acolytes swarmed into the din of an expo floor, creating an atmosphere redolent of a religious revival being held in a Vegas casino. Vendor booths filled Moscone Center’s South Hall to bursting, ranging from enormous displays presented by longtime technology stalwarts such as HP and IBM down to a multitude of tiny booths displaying products from new market entrants…
Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) and Red Hat (NYSE:RHT) announced last week that they agreed to collaborate on OpenStack cloud deployments as well as Cisco’s application centric infrastructure and intercloud efforts. Bryan Che, general manager of cloud product strategy for Red Hat, said, "Red Hat has a very large ecosystem and Cisco does as well, so, when you put those two ecosystems together, that provides a lot of opportunities from a vendor standpoint."
Remember the playground when you where a kid? Picture a spirited round of basketball, and you’re getting the better of a friend.
