Serverless, Inc., creators of the open source Serverless Framework, today announced their $10M Series A funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with additional participation by Trinity Ventures. Their Series A goes toward further development on the new Serverless Platform, now available in beta-a single toolkit offering everything teams and enterprises need to operationalize serverless deployments.

According to Research and Markets, the serverless market size is estimated to grow from $1.88bn in 2016 to $7.72bn by 2021, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 32.7%.

Rubrik, the Cloud Data Management company, announced the general availability of Polaris Radar, the latest data management application built on the Polaris SaaS platform. Polaris Radar leverages machine learning to model threat behavior, accelerating how enterprises mitigate data security incidents. Ransomware attacks are intensifying in scale and sophistication, and the perpetrators are better at evading countermeasures. A recent NTT Security survey revealed that ransomware attacks rose 350 percent in 2017 over the previous year. Alibaba Cloud will also continue to invest in Malaysia by setting up the first cloud based Anti-DDoS Scrubbing Center in August. The center will mitigate risks and offer customers the highest level of protection against stronger DDoS attacks. The new center will feature a variety of security functions including Anti-DDoS Pro, a service that defends against all types of DDoS attacks.

Software intelligence company, Dynatrace, today announced at Google Cloud Next 2018, automated support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. With this announcement, operations teams can extend the scope of the Dynatrace platform to workloads in Google Cloud, eliminating manual and siloed monitoring of independent Kubernetes clusters, and enabling automatic AI-assisted answers to performance problems across GCP workloads.
