ATEN and US Micro Showcasing Cloud Computing Solution at Cloud Fair 2012

ATEN today announced that it is exhibiting and showcasing new cloud technology at this week’s Cloud Fair 2012 with partner US Micro, Inc., a WA-based manufacturer of innovative computing solutions. Cloud Fair is held from April 17-19, 2012 in Seattle, WA where ATEN and US Micro are demonstrating a new hardware-based cloud computing solution at booth #9. Available now, CriKit (Cloud Resource and Infrastructure Kit), is a compact and energy-efficient, multi-node desktop cloud computing solution.
Custom developed by US Micro, the CriKit solution is comprised of several hardware components: powerful micro-servers, Networked Attached Storage, a 1GB Ethernet switch, a 19" LED monitor, keyboard, optical mouse and finally, ATEN’s CS1768 — an eight-port DVI/USB KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) switch. CriKit was developed to provide unique business value for a variety of applications such as software development, software test and quality assurance, training, demonstration and education. Carefully selected by US Micro, the CS1768 is a control unit that allows access and control of up to eight computers from a single USB keyboard, USB mouse, and dual-monitor (DVI-I and VGA) console. It can be cascaded to three levels – allowing up to 73 CS1768s to control up to 512 computers – all from the original single console.
