Agosto Inc., a Google Tier 1 Premier Partner and cloud product development firm, announced that it can now provide cloud computing and storage with Google for Work and Google App Engine accounts to all U.S. federal agencies. The announcement comes on the heels of Google’s recent Authorization to Operate from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). With FedRAMP authorization, all government agencies can use Google’s cloud tools and securely store unlimited content on Google’s cloud platform.

"We’re very excited about this development in the government space," said Agosto President Aric Bandy. "Google Apps has been an unequivocal value — both strategically and financially — for Agosto’s customers in the government sector. The FedRAMP compliant status allows us to bring even more Google functionalities to federal agencies." Agosto serves clients in the government sector at the local, state and federal levels, including the Library of Congress, the state of Wyoming, and the Minnesota Historical Society.

Google Apps has been compliant with the Federal Information Security Management Act since 2010, and since then Agosto has been helping government agencies adopt the public cloud provider’s tools. The FedRAMP approval, a lengthy assessment and review process, means that the security of the Google for Work and Google App Engine platforms has been assessed against federal standards.

FedRAMP is a government program to approve and screen technology solutions to ensure they have the security measures required for use by a government agency. When a service receives the FedRAMP authorization, any federal government agency can use the solution as it’s been properly vetted and approved.
