Xerox Intros eConcierge Cloud Solution to Help VARs Boost Revenue on Print Supplies

Xerox is helping VARs capture post-sale revenue with eConcierge powered by Xerox—a new cloud-based solution that makes it easier for customers to order supplies directly from their reseller partner.

Currently more than 90 percent of desktop and multifunction printer (MFP) customers who purchase their products from a VAR buy supplies on a transactional basis, according to Xerox. eConcierge powered by Xerox gives resellers a multi-branded e-commerce platform to sell supplies without having to continually check in with the customer or keep supplies inventory on site.

The solution helps increase the profit potential of product sales by ensuring that customer supplies are purchased through their reseller, regardless of brand. Customers download a supplies assistant desktop application from the reseller’s eConcierge online storefront onto one or more PCs within a business. It monitors toner and ink, waste cartridges and fusers, for both Xerox and non-Xerox products. The service prompts a purchase in advance of supplies running out and tracks printer and MFP model and part numbers.

VARs’ customers receive free on-site and phone support service for the useful life of the product, and there are no rush charges for premium shipping.

eConcierge powered by Xerox also gives resellers an additional touch point with customers to act as a spring board to more advanced value-added services like managed print.
