SolarWinds Achieves AWS Partner Network Milestones; Validates Capabilities to Assist Companies Deploying Workloads on AWS
November 30, 2021SolarWinds, a leading provider of simple, powerful, and secure IT management software, announced key milestones as part of its partnership with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). The company has attained the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency status and was accepted into the AWS ISV Independent Software Vendors (ISV) Accelerate Program. Already an AWS Partner Network (APN) Advanced Tier Partner and AWS software-as-a-service (SaaS) Partner, these additional achievements demonstrate the heightened focus and commitment of SolarWinds in delivering expert guidance and proven solutions to help technology professionals migrate, manage, or deploy their workloads to AWS. Additionally, SolarWinds will serve as a Gold sponsor and participant in AWS re:Invent, delivering a partner theater session on December 2 entitled, “Database Observability: A Weak Link.”
“We took the steps needed to achieve these milestones so tech pros and AWS sellers can be confident in our support for Microsoft workloads running in the AWS Cloud and our ability to yield successful outcomes in assisting with AWS deployments,” said Rohini Kasturi, chief product officer, SolarWinds. “Our goal is for our solutions to not only pave the way for smoother cloud migrations, but to ensure our customers’ AWS-based workloads are further optimized for peak performance.”
AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency
The AWS Competency Program is designed to identify, validate, and promote AWS Partners with demonstrated AWS technical expertise and proven customer success. Achieving the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency validates the technical capabilities and success SolarWinds demonstrates in supporting the varying phases of a customer’s journey to the AWS Cloud including migration assessment, migration, post-migration operational optimization, enhancement through analytics and machine learning, and modernization. The AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency helps reduce a tech pro’s time and effort in finding a capable and trusted APN Technology Partner for deploying Microsoft workloads on AWS.
APN Partners with AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency status are qualified through a detailed assessment and third-party audit of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions. They must also demonstrate a deep understanding of and adherence to AWS architectural best practices, overall and relative to Microsoft applications and technologies.
SolarWinds received the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency for the following solutions:
- SolarWinds SQL Sentry-Provides expert guidance for SQL Server workload migrations to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) or to Amazon RDS for SQL Server
- SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer-Improves Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (Amazon EC2) or Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS)-based application response times and solves complex SQL Server or Oracle database performance issues
- SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor-Optimizes server and application performance with high-visibility, proactive AWS monitoring
- SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor-Detects network problems, helps resolve network fault and performance issues, and properly manages multi-vendor networks spanning hybrid environments
AWS ISV Accelerate Program
SolarWinds is now part of the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, which helps ISVs that have software solutions that run on or integrate with AWS drive new business and accelerate sales cycles by connecting the participating ISVs with the AWS Sales organization.
Through the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, SolarWinds receives focused co-selling support from AWS, access to further sales enablement resources, reduced AWS Marketplace listing fees, and incentives for AWS Sales teams. The program provides better customer outcomes and assures mutual commitment from AWS and Partners.
SolarWinds to Participate at AWS re:Invent
AWS re:Invent is a premier learning conference for developers and engineers, system administrators, system architects, IT executives, and technical decision-makers. The in-person and hybrid event, taking place November 29 – December 3, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada across multiple venues, will feature keynote announcements, training and certification opportunities, access to 1,500-plus technical sessions, the expo, after-hours events, and more.
SolarWinds is a Gold sponsor and participant in AWS re:Invent, with Head Geek Kevin Kline delivering a 15-minute partner theater session, “Database Observability: A Weak Link,” on Thursday, December 2 in the Atlas Partner Theater of The Venetian at 2:15 p.m. PT. He’ll address the importance of adding database performance monitoring to your observability practice and share critical database health and performance metrics, how to get them, and how to analyze and optimize your database to improve app performance.
SolarWinds product experts will be available at the SolarWinds booth to provide demos of SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA), SolarWinds Database Performance Monitor (DPM), SolarWinds SQL Sentry, and the SolarWinds APM Integrated Experience. SolarWinds DPA, DPM, and SQL Sentry are part of the SolarWinds database management portfolio, which is a set of database performance monitoring and data management solutions designed to help data pros efficiently manage complex database environments and optimize data performance. The APM Integrated Experience, comprised of the SolarWinds application performance management (APM) solutions-AppOptics, Loggly, and Pingdom-helps reduce much of the complexity associated with modern APM by streamlining visibility into critical application and infrastructure performance and empowering tech pros with faster, easier troubleshooting.
