SAP and LG collaborate on cloud computing

SAP Korea, a major enterprise software developer, struck a partnership with LG CNS to accelerate the deployment of its in-house memory database platform. The partnership includes the establishment of the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Center (SAP HEC) in LG’s cloud data center in Busan, the nation’s biggest port city, according to a joint statement, Monday.
SAP and LG CNS said they aim to leverage in-memory computing capabilities to make processes that traditionally require batch processing available in real time. SAP Korea said it will help the LG Group affiliate expand its client base beyond the peninsula. "The SAP HEC Center will lead a key role in setting up infrastructure for cloud computing to be used with corporate clients and also provide needed services to existing and future clients," the statement said…
The two companies plan to develop a common source of information for all situations and problems, to make it easier for customers to customize their ERP platforms for their target and vertical markets without having to do much manual tweaking.
