Morphlabs Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Morphlabs, the leader in converged Dynamic Infrastructure Services for the Enterprise, today announced the appointment of Lee Thompson as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Thompson will work to advance Morphlabs’ technical vision of mCloud technologies, which support enterprise clients in overcoming the complexities of implementing the most price performant cloud solution on the market.

During his long tenure at E*Trade Financial, Mr. Thompson served in various leadership roles in development and operations, including as Operations Manager during the equity bubble in the late-nineties. As Vice President and Chief Technologist, Mr. Thompson was the visionary driver behind proving Linux as a viable choice for the financial services industry, making E*Trade the first to take advantage of the benefits of using open source technology on commodity hardware in online brokerage and services primarily for individual retail investors. He also held the CTO position in Hewlett Packard’s Consumer Travel and Transportation business unit. Mr. Thompson achieved a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering technology from The University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, he has been shaping Dev Ops thought leadership from his consulting post with DTO Solutions.
