Morphlabs, Inc. (Morphlabs; CEO and founder, Winston Damarillo), a U.S.-based cloud solution provider, and NEC Corporation today announced the availability of pre-configured and certified mCloud Solutions with NEC Express 5800 servers. mCloud Solutions, powered by OpenStack, provide compact, scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure, with integrated metering and billing, enabling service providers to offer cost effective and sophisticated cloud services while nearly eliminating time-to-market.

"mCloud and NEC empower service providers to immediately deploy public and private clouds using best-of-breed open source software and hardware without requiring a massive capital expenditure," said Morphlabs Co-Founder and Executive Vice President for Asian Business, Satoshi Konno. "Working closely with NEC, we have packed the high performance benefits of mCloud into telco grade hardware, making it possible for service providers to deploy massively scalable and competitive public clouds without investing in massive, complex build-outs."

mCloud Solutions, combined with NEC’s power-dense and energy-efficient Express 5800 server system with solid state drives (SSD), provide unmatched price and performance. mCloud Solutions are highly-optimized and offer a turnkey and modular public cloud offering that are scalable to thousands of virtual machines. Service Providers that deploy mCloud Solutions can add compute on demand and storage on demand, enabling customized cloud solutions for service providers based on specific objectives and customer demand.

"Together, Morphlabs and NEC enable service providers, especially in growing markets throughout Asia, to build their own public clouds and launch their services quickly into the market," said Kazuhiro Iwamoto, General Manager, IT Platform Division, NEC. "mCloud Solutions utilizing NEC Express 5800 servers achieve high power efficiency and performance with a sophisticated cloud infrastructure."

mCloud Solutions powered by NEC are being deployed throughout Asia, including the Philippines and Indonesia.
