The cloud is very important to Microsoft for the obvious reasons – first of them being the fact that cloud computing brings a lot of money to the Redmond firm, however, the company is very annoyed by Google. As a result, the Windows Phone 7 maker launched an never-seen attack at Google saying that its Google Apps aren’t very helpful for the customers who also receive little support if they somehow get into trouble.

After Microsoft demonstrated that Google is violating privacy policies with Google Search on Internet Explorer. The Redmond firm showed that Google bypassing Internet Explorer’s policies and it’s tracking IE users through cookies…

Google was also found guilty of spying on iPhone users as its search engine was bypassing Safari’s privacy policies as well. After Steve Ballmer’s team took a closer look at Google Search on IE, the members found that the search giant was using the same technique on the world’s most popular browser.

According to Microsoft, Google can no longer use this exploit as of Internet Explorer 9 so anyone with IE8 or lower should upgrade to a newer version.

Getting back to yet another battle in the Microsoft-Google war, the former launched a Googlighting video in order to fight against the rapid rise of Google’s cloud-based apps. The Redmond company has been a leader in cloud-computing and it feels threatened by the search giant therefore users should “beware the Googlighting stranger.”

Microsoft said that Google apps are a “joke” and that corporations are treated as “guinea pigs” therefore it would be unwise to switch to Google’s cloud productivity tools. The campaign also states that Google is always changing its solutions by adding “experimental features” which make the apps more complex while forcing businesses to retrain their employees to use the new tools.

In addition, Google provides small support when companies came knocking on its door because of the changes. Microsoft believes that your business will thrive if you choose the company’s “right set of tools” that provide “secure and compliant technologies.”

The war between these two will probably never end, but lately we’ve witnessed a lot of public attacks between Microsoft and Google. So far, people seem to love Google, but they also seem to hate Microsoft for some reason. The details of the campaign can be found here, while the Googlighting video can be watched below.
