Liquidware announces FlexApp and ProfileUnity support for Amazon AppStream
November 29, 2018Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management, today announced support for Amazon AppStream via its FlexApp, application layering, and ProfileUnity, User Environment Management (UEM) products. With this announcement comes the expansion of the already deep functionality of these products that have contributed to making Liquidware the last independent platform-agnostic player in a market segment dominated by giants.
FlexApp and ProfileUnity are both equipped with the ability to migrate profiles and applications to cloud-based storage, including, among others, Amazon S3. This enables users to reap critical efficiency benefits during desktop migrations to cloud platforms like Amazon AppStream and Amazon WorkSpaces. In this adoption process, FlexApp layers moreover provide a singular delivery mechanism from a highly available S3 bucket.
"FlexApp and ProfileUnity’s support for Amazon AppStream delivers crucial benefits for enterprise customers seeking to adopt and integrate with Amazon’s EUC platforms, in that they drive greater efficiency before, during and after the adoption process," explained Jason E. Smith, VP of Product Marketing, Liquidware. "Support for AppStream has unlocked additional, rich functionality in both products. FlexApp application layers and ProfileUnity user environment management have evolved to play a strategic role in application strategy and user management for organizations looking to explore Amazon’s EUC solutions."
"IDC research clearly shows that the migration to ‘the cloud’ is, increasingly and persistently, a migration into a multi-cloud and hybrid public/private cloud environment," said Shannon Kalvar, Research Manager at IDC. "Management products must evolve to include both rich integration with specific vendors and broad-based support across cloud stacks."
