Data integration software services company, Informatica, has adopted cloud-based ERP software vendor, NetSuite’s professional services automation solution to manage its worldwide services business.  Under the deal, Informatica has installed NetSuite OpenAir for project management, time and expense, global billing, resources management and reporting.

Richard Busch, director of professional services operations at Informatica, said the company had experienced significant growth over the past seven years, driven by growth in cloud computing and big data, and the demands placed upon Informatica’s services organisation have increased tremendously…

“With over 4,630 enterprise customers worldwide, we needed a system that would provide us with the visibility to manage customer engagements more efficiently. The automation and deeper functionality in NetSuite OpenAir further enhances Informatica’s strong services business.”

According to Busch, companies using NetSuite’s professional services automation (PSA) and services resource planning (SRP) software are among the highest performing when evaluated side-by-side against peer organisations. Busch cites a SPI Research report that NetSuite owns 20 percent market share of the professional services automation market, while the closest competitor has only 12 percent.
