InfiniteIO Builds on Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Storage Momentum with Strategic Executive Appointments
March 8, 2019InfiniteIO, a leader in making hybrid cloud storage simple and fast, today announced it is supporting the global expansion of its hybrid cloud solutions by appointing two new leaders to its executive management team.
Kris Meier was named vice president of product management at InfiniteIO, responsible for advancing the company’s vision for leveraging storage metadata in the network to optimize cost savings and performance everywhere in the hybrid cloud.
Liem Nguyen joined InfiniteIO as vice president of marketing, responsible for all aspects of marketing including brand awareness, demand generation, digital marketing and corporate communications.
“Implementing hybrid-cloud strategies has proven to be more difficult than expected for the enterprise because of the performance constraints and challenges of integrating cloud storage with on-premises storage,” said InfiniteIO CEO and Co-Founder Mark Cree. “InfiniteIO is accelerating the industry transition to hybrid clouds by offering a radically simpler approach to data management, and we look forward to boarder reach with the addition of two proven industry veterans to our team.”
In addition to expanding its leadership team, InfiniteIO also moved its Austin headquarters to a new office and technology center that is four times the size of its previous offices. The company is hiring in Austin as it continues to invest in software development, partner integration, sales and marketing. The new InfiniteIO office address is 11305 Four Points Drive, Building 1, Suite 250, Austin, Texas 78726.
Accelerating Storage Savings and Performance for Hybrid Cloud Storage
As vice president of product management, Meier defines and delivers InfiniteIO’s hybrid cloud storage solutions and products. He has more than 20 years of product management and development experience in a variety of technical and marketing positions delivering networking and storage solutions at NetApp, CacheIQ, Storspeed, NetEffect (now Intel), Dell, and HP.
“While enterprise and IT leaders are striving to integrate the cloud into their digital transformation initiatives, they’re finding that the on-premises infrastructure isn’t going away,” said Meier. “The performance and manageability tradeoffs that have hindered or stalled ongoing cloud adoption can be resolved through a far more intelligent means of analyzing, optimizing and scaling hybrid cloud storage.”
As head of marketing, Nguyen brings 20 years of award-winning marketing experience at the corporate and agency level in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and software industries, including leadership roles at Forcepoint, Commvault, Dell and Compellent.
“InfiniteIO is changing how customers and partners across industries from finance to media and bioinformatics are managing data and its relationship with applications and cloud-based storage,” said Nguyen. “By applying networking innovations to storage management in the data center and the cloud simultaneously, we can ensure data flows to wherever the business requires it, without adding complexity, cost or stress to overburdened staff and budgets.”
