IGEL Demonstrates Revolutionary Cloud Workspace Endpoint Management at #IPEXPO Manchester
March 29, 2019IGEL, a world leader in software-defined endpoint optimization and control solutions for the secure enterprise, will be demonstrating its revolutionary Cloud Workspace Endpoint Management solution at IP Expo in Manchester on April 3-4th 2019. IGEL will be exhibiting with new Gold partner, cloudDNA, and visitors to the stand can take part in “I Challenge Everything” for a chance to win an all-electric Porsche Taycan or cash equivalent.
IP
Expo visitors will see how IGEL Workspace Edition, powered by the IGEL
OS 11 operating system, can be used to standardize, manage and secure
any complex end-user computing
ecosystem. IGEL Workspace de-couples the hardware from the software
through new, flexible and transferable software licensing options. IGEL
is the only full-offering software-defined endpoint management solution
that supports the assignment and transfer of licenses to any compatible
x86 machine, regardless of manufacturer. By
separating the software license from hardware and pricing, IGEL is
maximizing flexibility for its partners and customers by making it
easier to acquire and manage a diverse range of endpoints.
Simon
Townsend, IGEL Chief Marketing Officer for EMEA, said, “First, we
revolutionized endpoint management, bringing simplicity and uniformity
to complex VDI ecosystems. Now
we’re revolutionizing endpoint acquisition, ownership, and support, a
move that we believe is going to be very exciting for both our partners
and customers, and one that will make a tremendous impact on their
ability to secure, optimize and control the endpoint.”
With
the IGEL Workspace, partners and customers will benefit from several
features in the IGEL OS 11 that make endpoints simpler to manage.
Cloud-based software licensing
makes it easy for customers to manage all their compatible x86 endpoint
devices for greater flexibility, hardware cost containment and
providing complete insight.
Partnering with cloudDNA
Recently
appointed IGEL Gold partner cloudDNA will be exhibiting alongside IGEL
on the showfloor at IP Expo Manchester 2019. Al Taylor, cloudDNA
Co-founder explained the collaboration
of the two organizations, “While we’ve never really shouted about it,
cloudDNA has been an IGEL partner for around six years with great
success across a wide range of organizations, including finance,
insurance and the public sector.”
“Having
just received the award for the fastest growing Citrix partner in
Northern Europe 2018, we are delighted to achieve IGEL Gold partner
status. We’re always looking
to our vendors to deliver relevant innovation that helps our customers
improve the user experience and reduce the cost of service delivery.
cloudDNA is best known for SDN and SD-WAN. With IGEL Workspace, we’re
now able to add flexible SD-Endpoint Management
to our portfolio of both project delivery and managed service
offerings. It’s way beyond the average thin client conversation and
super relevant to our growing customer base.”
An
example of IGEL and cloudDNA customer success is with Lewisham Homes,
an arms length management organization (ALMO) set-up to improve social
housing in the London Borough
of Lewisham, working in partnership with the local council. As part of a
significant ‘ground up’ investment in class-leading enterprise IT,
Lewisham purchased IGEL UD3 endpoints for IP telephony and video-based
training over the desktop. IGEL’s Universal Desktop
Convertor (UD3) software was also used to convert existing x86-based
Intel devices into universally deployable IGEL Linux-based thin clients.
Manni
Etsetowaghan, Lewisham Homes’ Head of IT, said: “cloudDNA helped with
our requirements gathering and analysis, offered consultancy about
Citrix and how best to deploy
it, advised about the thin client selection, as well as audited our
environment at the end. We needed someone with deep knowledge of Citrix,
networking and VDI delivery to get the most out of our investment.
That’s exactly what cloudDNA has provided.”
IGEL and cloudDNA are located at Stands M264 and M266 at IP Expo 2019 in Manchester from April 3-4.
