Cloud computing and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Horizon Data Center Solutions has announced a corporate name change to more accurately reflect the company’s offering and future vision…

Lance Black, CEO, said, “We’re excited to announce our new name: Vazata. We’ve been rapidly evolving the business well beyond our early days as a traditional colocation provider. We still operate three Tier III data centers, and colocation remains a solution within our core offering, but we’ve also fully developed our vStructure™ platform and materially expanded the scope of what we do.”

Enterprise and U.S. federal government agency customers utilize the company’s vStructure™ to migrate towards cloud computing capability. Mr. Black added, “Our new identity includes the tagline, ‘Taking Colo to the Cloud.’ We feel this better articulates our full value proposition and how we define our mission moving forward.”

The services offered by Vazata are focused on providing customers with resources and capabilities to provide security, stability and scalability for mission critical applications and IT operations.

Mr. Black was the founder of Mareechi, which merged with Horizon in 2009. He added, “In addition to the name change, we’ve also recently announced two key new hires in our executive sales organization. We have the right leadership team in place and we’re now focused on taking Vazata through the next phase of growth.”
