GlobalOne, a leader in Software as a Service (SaaS), social collaboration and cloud computing professional services for the enterprise, announced today the acquisition of Weblinc, one of Australia’s most innovative providers of cloud computing applications. The acquisition deepens GlobalOne’s capabilities in the Asia Pacific region, while broadening the company’s expertise in building and deploying enterprise cloud applications across the globe.

"Acquiring Weblinc gives us the necessary knowledge, experience and tools to create a Global Architecture Practice," said John Orrock, COO at GlobalOne. "This new practice will take cloud computing foundation assets and thought leadership in cloud architecture to market. Clients will see benefits in terms of strategy around governance, design, delivery, training and certification of their staff."…

"Weblinc’s expertise strategically complements GlobalOne’s business and offers customers a deeper and broader set of cloud services from a single provider," said Paul Mansfield, Weblinc CEO. "Weblinc is a key contributor to the evolution of the cloud technical architecture community and holds a seat on salesforce.com’s International Technical Architecture Review Board. The Weblinc team has built large custom apps on the Force.com platform with complex integration requirements to ERP core systems."

Weblinc, a salesforce.com premier consulting partner, brings GlobalOne strategy and design expertise for building cloud technical architectures, including a library of blueprint designs and templates that can help clients solve business problems such as revenue scheduling and complex quoting. The team has evolved an agile delivery method and tool chain tailored to cloud app projects. Weblinc also brings with it a diverse client base including companies in the high tech, utilities, construction and field service industries.

"This acquisition makes GlobalOne the largest cloud computing partner in Australia — in terms of certified staff," said Ken Struthers, Australian Country Manager, GlobalOne. "We are now in a position to dominate the cloud computing services market in Australia."

This marks the third acquisition GlobalOne has made in the past four months. In December 2011, the company acquired the Vodafone Appland team and launched the GlobalOne Mobility Practice spearheaded by Doug Maloney, former General Manager Innovation and New Business at Vodafone Hutchinson Australia. In October, the company acquired telecom solutions provider, FLOW thru LOGIC.
