The Hotel Service Optimization System (HotSOS) service, being showcased in Gitex, is one such innovative solution that will enable the hotels to provide an unforgettable experience to their guests. The service uses a smart system of interactive touch-screens connected through an IT application that integrates multiple individual systems to consolidate and showcase a holistic view for superior guest experience management. Similarly, another innovative service being showcased is the ERP service on a cloud computing platform, which is a plug n play service that can be run on the internet and requires neither investment in hardware, or hiring and training additional IT Staff…

Delivered through the Cloud, both these novel services can benefit businesses through zero up-front investments, reduced costs, greater resource efficiency, enhanced flexibility with Pay-as-you-go model, and quick adaptations with simplified change management cycles, higher quality of service, increased reliability (24/7 availability) and technology refresh.

Commenting on these innovative futuristic solutions, Mr. Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Business Solutions said, "Cloud computing has tremendous potential to benefit businesses, industries, and entire economies. Etisalat has taken the first step towards understanding and sharing knowledge about this transformational trend and investing time, energy and resources to ride on the trend. These Etisalat Cloud offerings will allow businesses to access a diverse array of applications and extend their IT capabilities with minimal capital cost, with significant enhancements to their flexibility and speed."

The Cloud, in essence, encompasses service-centric solutions that provide a cost effective, on-demand network access and computing power. Being from a highly aggregated but shared pool of computing resources, (networks, servers, storage, applications and services), these solutions can be provisioned in less time and withdrawn with minimal administrative and management effort, providing maximum flexibility to businesses, without additional infrastructure expenses.
