Dell advisers: Watch out for the cloud, security and ‘BYOD’

Dell Inc., courtesy of its President’s Advisory Board, has looked into the future to prognosticate the tech trends that will define 2014 and highlighted cloud computing, changing IT security challenges, and the decline of "bring your own device" policies at the workplace, according to a company blog post.

Dell’s President’s Advisory Board is made up of 20 high ranking corporate information officers. It was formed last year to help guide the Round Rock-based technology company through the industry’s changing landscape. They met for the third time this past December to discuss emerging tech trends for the next year…

On cloud computing, the group found that the potential of distributed data management was not yet being fully utilized…
