CPUsage Launches Massive Scale Cloud Computing Platform at TechCrunch Disrupt

Today CPUsage announced the launch of public beta for their high-performance and high-throughput computing platform. CPUsage offers an easy to use Platform-as-a-Service that empowers software developers, scientists, and researchers to quickly and easily compute on any cloud, at any scale, in a matter of minutes. CPUsage eliminates the need for months of upfront engineering effort and the hours of weekly maintenance it takes for other cloud computing platforms, making powerful cloud computing available and affordable for any size organization.
CPUsage also announced today for the first time that they have closed $925,000 in venture capital from leading Silicon Valley investors. The funding round was led by Morado Venture Partners, with participation from Crosslink Capital, Demian Sellfors, Qbera Ventures, and Triplepoint Ventures…
CPUsage works by enabling users to compute across hundreds or thousands of compute instances, with the ease of working in a single, familiar environment. Simply install any high-performance or high-throughput application in a CPUsage sandbox. Then, run a simple command that builds and deploys your application and connects to your data. The CPUsage platform enables user to build in minutes what previously took months of custom development and maintenance.
CPUsage is launching with support for Amazon Web Services. Customers can choose from four compute instance types, including High CPU and High Memory options. Pricing starts at just $0.06 per hour and customers are billed for only the compute time used. Later this year, CPUsage will add support for additional cloud infrastructures, including the Google Compute Engine and Microsoft Windows Azure.
CPUsage is making these announcements and providing a demo as part of their TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2013 Battlefield appearance. With a thousand applicants from across the world, CPUsage is one of a select few given the honor of launching at the event, which boasts companies such as Dropbox, Mint, and TripIt as prior participants.
