CloudPassage, the leading cloud server security company, today announced that Joerg Rathenberg has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Rathenberg joins CloudPassage from virtual event leader Unisfair, where he was Vice President of Marketing…

"Joerg brings a wealth of software-as-a-service marketing experience to the team along with strong background in cloud computing, business intelligence and advanced analytics," said Carson Sweet, co-founder and CEO of Cloud Passage. "We are positioned for growth; his contributions will be key as we begin the push to extend our market leadership and capture market share."

With more than 14 years of high tech marketing experience in the San Francisco Bay area, Rathenberg has focused on positioning and bringing disruptive technologies to market. At Unisfair, he worked with the executive team, shaping the strategic direction that led to the successful acquisition by InterCall this year. Prior to that, he held management positions at Salesforce.com, KXEN, Brio, APC and IBM.

"The cloud market is about to take off, but this can’t happen without security. CloudPassage is the only company that provides the ability to secure cloud servers in a meaningful and sustainable way," said Rathenberg. "The management team at CloudPassage includes some of the smartest and most experienced people in the industry. I look forward to working with them and growing CloudPassage to become the dominating company in this space."
