CloudHealth Optimizes Cloud Infrastructure Through Integrated Performance Metrics
November 8, 2016CloudHealth Technologies, the leader in cloud service management, today announced expanded capabilities that enable customers to optimize their infrastructure through integrated performance data and rightsizing recommendations for increased levels of efficiency.
Organizations must have a clear view into cloud usage and performance if they wish to maximize resources and ensure optimal spend. However, the proliferation of multi-cloud and hybrid environments is making the process more complex. A report from Dimensional Research found that 77 percent of companies are planning to implement a multi-cloud strategy in the near term. Adding more instances across platforms, and factoring in the inherently dynamic nature of the cloud, has made it more challenging for organizations to track, manage and optimize their cloud environments.
By consolidating data from various sources, the CloudHealth platform provides a centralized view of an organization’s infrastructure across multiple providers and public/private clouds, so that IT can evaluate and maximize performance. Integrating rich data from AWS CloudWatch, as well as cloud monitoring solutions like Datadog and New Relic, reveals valuable information on CPU, memory, disk and network performance – and drives even more impactful decision making.
In addition, CloudHealth’s powerful Rightsizing functionality provides reports and recommendations on which instance types and volumes to use across AWS EC2 instance families and EBS volumes. Customers can evaluate resource efficiency and make ongoing optimizations by setting policies that alert on underutilized or overutilized instances. AWS users can also dive deep on performance metrics with reporting functionality that lets them track and analyze disk throughput and utilization.
“We have a complex infrastructure, and keeping it optimized is key to supporting our 150 million users,” said Jonathan Greenglass, Head of Finance, Operations and Business Development at Imgur. “CloudHealth helps us evaluate and maximize cloud performance — with CloudHealth, we rightsize more than 400 EC2 instances every month.”
“Helping customers better utilize their infrastructure is a core tenet of CloudHealth,” said Joe Kinsella, Founder and CTO of CloudHealth Technologies. “You can’t have an efficient cloud without being able to manage overall performance. That’s why we’re so focused on providing features and integrations that drive insight – so organizations can dig down into the data at a very granular level and get the most out of what they’ve provisioned.”
CloudHealth will be demonstrating its platform’s enhanced capabilities at booth 1218 at AWS re:Invent 2016, November 28 through December 2.
