An article in Enterprise Apps Today covered the discussion of IoT at the Connected Cloud Summit in Boston. There, industry leaders talked about the new wave of business solutions that are now possible because of IoT thinking. One executive cited a simple example of climate-control-as-a-service — a way in which IoT technology can control room temperatures so firms don’t overpay or waste more energy than necessary…
In this instance, the IoT solves a problem and increases optimization. This approach to IoT problem solving can likely be applied to any kind of client data sets, and it would require developing services and thinking more about the customer’s needs. One real-world IoT application comes from a freezer company that created a "freezer of things" technology, which connects their products to the Internet to provide client services through cloud computing…
