New Zealand is set to see its cloud computing market mature over the course of 2011.

This is according to Richard Talbot, solutions director at recruitment company Randstad, who told the NZ Herald that corporate enterprises are showing an increasing amount of interest in the cloud at the moment.

"There are large investments being made in data centres, with web-oriented technologies in extraordinary demand," he explained.

In addition to cloud computing professionals, many businesses in the country also want to hire storage experts and people with a good grasp of how virtualisation technology works.

Earlier in February, a report from IT analyst Gartner explained more companies are set to make use of cloud computing infrastructure services over the course of the next few years.

The organisation predicted the global enterprise software market will record revenue growth of 7.5 per cent during 2011 in comparison to the results recorded in 2010.
