Cloud-Based Sales and Marketing SaaS Combine with Lead Management as CallidusCloud Acquires LeadFormix
January 4, 2012Sales and marketing automation and lead management has moved further into the cloud with an announcement from Callidus Software Inc. that it has acquired SaaS provider LeadFormix.
Callidus (doing business as CallidusCloud) offers sales effectiveness and cloud computing solutions, while LeadFormix provides next-generation marketing automation and lead management. The deal amounts to about $9 million cash, subject to final adjustments, and a portion of the consideration is also subject to a holdback with respect to LeadFormix shareholders’ indemnity obligations to CallidusCloud…
The multi-tenant, SaaS applications from CallidusCloud maximize sales and cost efficiencies and drive improvements in sales effectiveness. This gives the company’s customers a competitive advantage and sets the standard for performance of customers’ sales forces and channel partners. More than 2.5 million users take advantage of CallidusCloud solutions.
The Marketing Automation 2.0 software from LeadFormix offers a multi-tenant SaaS solution to enable sales teams to quickly identify and reach decision makers, so that they may close deals faster. The solution is designed to drive collaboration among marketing, inside sales and field sales teams.
Teams are provided with lead intelligence and prospect information, as well as analytics to help marketing and sales identify the correct business opportunities to pursue. Additional features include lead scoring algorithms that enable teams to prioritize their leads by jointly deciding on an ideal lead score that will be considered “sales-ready.”
CallidusCloud will offer additional financial details of the acquisition during its scheduled fourth quarter and fiscal year 2011 earnings call.
