Citrix to upskill tech graduates in cloud and virtualisation

In the latest phase of the talent wars, Citrix has partnered with ICT Ireland Skillnet to upskill 15 unemployed graduates in cloud and virtualisation and guarantee them a job. The software company aims to offer unemployed computer science graduates a high-level 14 week cloud computing and virtualisation course for free to fast-track them into the workforce.
There are currently 15 places on the programme and Citrix has pledged to offer half the participants a job and will secure employment for the remainder with companies in its community. The training programme is aimed at unemployed Computer Science graduates or those from a similar discipline with a Bachelor’s Degree and is scheduled to begin on 1 September 2014…
Its aim is to provide recent graduates with the necessary knowledge and experience to thrive in the workplace, via an intensive training course that will provide them with industry certification across emerging technologies such as virtualisation and cloud computing…
