Talend, a global leader in cloud and big data integration solutions, today unveiled a new set of connectors for the Talend Data Fabric platform that helps customers rapidly migrate enterprise-wide data sources to Microsoft Azure to build more intelligent and scalable cloud data pipelines for real-time analytics.

Viptela, Inc., today announced Viptela Cloud onRamp, which enables organizations to seamlessly connect users and sites to the cloud, including infrastructure services (IaaS) and SaaS applications, while providing a highly optimized user-experience. Cloud onRamp is part of Viptela Fabric, a single platform that supports multiple use-cases including SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, Network-as-a-Service and AppUX.

Optimized IaaS and SaaS Clouds

Quest Software, a global systems management and security software provider, today announced the availability of Quest On Demand, a new, cloud-hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that makes it simple for IT administrators to manage and secure Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) workloads. The first release of Quest On Demand delivers solutions that make it easy for organizations to rapidly backup and recover Azure AD and Office 365 users, attributes, groups and group membership. Additionally, it allows for secure access to Microsoft Exchange Online and Skype for Business Online features through automated policy management.

On Demand, the first SaaS platform from the Quest Microsoft Platform Management (MPM) business, delivers automation at scale. With On Demand, customers no longer need to install and configure on-premises software nor manage the roll-out of updates. The On Demand platform is ready to use after a few clicks and integrates the core security features built into Azure to ensure data integrity and security. Now, IT organizations can innovate faster, lower costs, and take advantage of enhanced security.

Red Hat introduced the next generation of Red Hat OpenShift Online, the industry’s first open source, container-native, multi-tenant cloud platform. Based on the same Linux container- and Kubernetes-based foundation as the award-winning Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat OpenShift Online gives developers the ability to more quickly and easily build, deploy and scale cloud-native applications in a public cloud environment.

Arcserve, LLC, whose breakthrough data protection and availability solutions deliver enterprise power with small team simplicity, today announced the acquisition of Zetta, a leader in cloud-first disaster recovery (DR) solutions and data center IP. Zetta’s offerings provide organizations with direct-to-cloud disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and backup as a service (BaaS) to quickly and reliably protect, access and recover virtual and physical data without the need for extra hardware. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This transaction further increases Arcserve’s market share on the heels of the company’s recent email archiving technology acquisition.

HyTrust, Inc., a leading workload security provider, today announced the acquisition of DataGravity, a data visibility and security company, to further automate and enhance security policy enforcement for workload data. The acquisition brings new data discovery and classification expertise that expand HyTrust data security solutions focused on protecting workload data. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but members of the DataGravity team will be joining HyTrust.

Also, today HyTrust announced it has raised $36 million in new funding, with this latest round of investment going towards expanding its sales and marketing efforts, and for new product development and acquisitions.

The DataGravity acquisition comes at a time of rapid growth in the cloud security solutions market. According to Forrester, the global cloud security solutions market will grow 28 percent annually over the 2017 to 2021 period, from $1.5 billion in 2017 to $3.5 billion in 2021.

Rackspace today announced from the Microsoft Inspire conference in Washington, D.C. a relationship with Lightstream, a leading systems integrator, to deliver integrated Microsoft Cloud Solutions with specialized customer lifecycle support. Through this collaboration, Rackspace will provide custom tools, optimization and ongoing 24x7x365 Fanatical Support for customers who leverage Lightstream IT transformation and migration services for Microsoft Azure as well as other Microsoft Private Cloud and Microsoft Productivity Cloud solutions.
