Cloud Computing: Total Defense changes name to iSheriff

Cloud security company Total Defense has gone through a rebranding and will now go by the name of iSheriff. The name change goes along with the company’s sale of its consumer division to Untangle. As a result, iSheriff, will now be dedicated to creating cloud security solutions for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).

Boulder, Colorado-based Earthnet announced that it has completed a $200,000 expansion of its cloud computing infrastructure. Earthnet CEO, Bahman Saless, said that the company has adopted a new private cloud platform, Fractus, that provides a level of security and accountability for small business that isn’t available in the conventional cloud environment. Fractus is hosted by the Dell Active System 800 Cloud Solution.
