Grazed from Avi Networks

Avi Networks, the leader in next-generation load balancing and application services, today announced the acquisition of StacksWare. As enterprises expand their use of cloud technologies, there is a strong desire to consume network services such as elastic load balancing, application analytics, and web application firewalls in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment model. StacksWare, a pioneer in SaaS cloud management solutions, will lead the continued development of Avi Networks’ SaaS and managed services offerings.

"Today, every enterprise is adopting cloud technologies, but none of that is practical without robust, automated, scalable, and easy-to-use application networking services," said Murali Basavaiah, vice-president of engineering and co-founder of Avi Networks. "The passion, drive, and technical capabilities of the StacksWare’s team captured our attention, and will help us to further develop our SaaS capabilities."

The StacksWare team will help Avi enhance product capabilities to deliver:

  • Enterprise-grade, as-a-service products for ADC, security, and application visibility
  • Multi-cloud SaaS solutions that enable enterprises to take advantage of the cloud platform(s) of their choice
  • Simplified operations with intelligent analytics for SaaS delivery of application services

Avi’s multi-cloud, software-defined architecture with central control and support for per-tenant and per-app deployments is a natural fit for over-the-top and managed services offerings. With the expertise of the StacksWare team, Avi will enhance its SaaS management platform and make it available early next year.
