By David

ClearSky Data, provider of on-demand primary storage with built-in offsite backup and disaster recovery (DR), today announced it has achieved Advanced Technology Partner status in Amazon Web Service (AWS) Partner Network (APN). AWS’ global partner program focuses on helping APN Partners with go-to-market and technical support. ClearSky Data’s expanded relationship with AWS furthers its mission to help more companies get to the cloud quickly, so they can eliminate secondary infrastructure, take advantage of hybrid DR and dramatically reduce costs with consumption-based enterprise storage.

As enterprise IT teams struggle to consolidate multiple infrastructure silos and free themselves from painful upgrade cycles, the case for cloud migration is escalating. At the same time, these organizations are tasked with multiple data management challenges, from backing up archival information assets to rapidly ingesting massive amounts of machine data at the edge. ClearSky Data provides a storage-as-a-service solution integrated with AWS, enabling enterprises to access all of this data wherever it’s needed – on-premises or in the cloud – without replication.

Top Five Cloud Services Predictions 2018

By David
Grazed from Nuvias

Karl Roe, VP Services & Cloud Solutions at Nuvias, takes a look at what’s in store for organisations using the cloud in 2018

1. The Rise of AI

2018 will see Artificial Intelligence (AI) drive a transformational change among organisations and impact on cloud use.

ICT isn’t getting any simpler, and businesses are being forced to move faster as their customers’ requirements become more demanding. This is driving innovation in areas like AI, but automation of past processes won’t be enough to keep up with the “need for speed” in business agility.

We will see lots more AI projects and initiatives in 2018; it will be the cornerstone of change in automation of ICT. Proactive, automated, non-human decisions are now a necessity. Are the robots coming? Yes, they are – but we still need to develop the Intellectual Property (IP) to drive them.
