Aruba S.p.A., a leader in data center, cloud, web hosting, email, certified email (PEC) and domain registration services, has announced the construction of its new Hyper Cloud Data Center in Rome in a press conference today. The launch of its fourth Italian data center – and the ninth for the whole European network – will complete Aruba’s project to create a modern ecological network of data centers in the country.  The new data center in Rome (called IT4) will help Aruba consolidate its position as an enterprise level IT service provider, thanks to its unique network of existing data centers spread across the Italian peninsula. It will offer US and international corporations a foundation for their IT infrastructure in Italy.

The new data center will be built in the Tecnopolo Tiburtino area in Rome and is expected to be completed by Spring 2020. Although it will be similar to the one Aruba opened last year in Milan, it will become the benchmark for Italian companies and others across Europe. Already in the planning stages, the project for the new data center will receive an investment of around 300 million Euros over the course of five years.

Cloud Licensing in Your Environs

By David

One of the first hurdles you’ll face when migrating to The Cloud is the bewildering variety of license options available. While working with financial and legal terms can be excruciating, it can also help you choose the right provider and save money for your small business. To understand Cloud licensing, use this beginner’s guide to get a better feel for how software licenses work.

The Permanent License

Previously, there was a perpetual license, whereby your software was stored on a physical disk and you were allowed to use it for an unlimited period under the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA). Think of the EULA as the rule book for software; it tells you things like how many machines the software can install, how long you could have access to free updates, and how much liability the company is willing to shoulder if something goes wrong when you use the software.
