NetApp today announced expanded availability and features for NetApp Cloud Volumes for Google Cloud Platform to help customers deploy workloads such as video rendering, databases, high-performance computing and continuous integration on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). NetApp Cloud Volumes offers customers a fully-managed, cloud-native file storage service that’s integrated with GCP and combines the reach of NetApp’s world-class data services, backed by hundreds of thousands of customers, with Google Cloud’s leadership in providing secure and scalable cloud infrastructure, application development services, analytics and machine learning.

FileShadow today ushers in multi-cloud storage options for its customers with a partnership with Wasabi, a hot cloud storage company. By adding Wasabi to FileShadow’s cloud file assurance service, individuals and small businesses with document intensive needs, such as photographers, creatives, insurance agents or agencies, financial services and municipalities, will have the option of choosing both the file processing and cloud storage system that best fits their performance and pricing needs.

FileShadow connects users’ cloud storage accounts and onsite network attached storage (NAS) into a single vault, making their files instantly searchable regardless of source and "available for a lifetime." With infrastructure as a service, customers will experience the benefits of a shared responsibility model with AWS and still have complete control over the data and deployment configurations.
