Grazed from Aruba Cloud.  Announcement.

Aruba Cloud presents its new Cloud Backup solution. Businesses can now use this new service to schedule and automate backups for the data stored on a virtual or physical server or any workstation irrespective of the OS by choosing the geographic location for the backup.

Superior security

Businesses looking to ratchet their security up a level can use the Cloud Backup service to back up a copy of their data in the cloud. The new solution from Aruba Cloud delivers a backup service where backups are performed, encrypted and stored independently of the server, virtual machine or computer in question. As such, a backup copy will always be available to the user.

This service acts as a natural add-on to legacy cloud computing solutions and is mainly designed for customers depending on physical or virtual servers. Backups represent the ideal solution for IT departments wishing to safeguard mission-critical data with the highest guarantees and the best security (RAID 6 hardware protection), meaning that backups are an integral part of disaster recovery planning.

"The new service from Aruba is the ideal solution for all CIOs looking for an easy and practical way of backing up simple or complex infrastructures. It is an extremely reliable solution that boasts much lower configuration and management costs than physical solutions" explains Eric Sansonny, Managing Director of Aruba Cloud Ltd.

A backup in Aruba’s UK Datacentre

Thanks to Aruba’s Cloud Backup service, users can plan and manage their backups at hourly, daily or weekly intervals or on demand. Data are backed up and stored in the UK Datacentre (DC UK1) with exclusive access from the Aruba Cloud user’s account. As a European player, Aruba already offers its Cloud Backup solution throughout its European network of datacentres (presence in France, Italy, England, Germany and the Czech Republic).

Based on the same model as Aruba’s Cloud Computing solutions, the "Pay as you Go" system has been chosen for this backup solution, so that users only pay for the space that they actually use. Aruba’s pay-as-you-go model is based on an hourly rate, starting at €1.50 ex. VAT / month for 10 GB.

The Cloud Backup service also offers interested companies flat-rate plans from 50 GB to 20 TB, starting at €7 ex. VAT / month.
