MicroTech, a technology and systems integrator, announced that it has won a $10 billion Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA (NewsAlert)) for the 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services II (STARS II)…

The ceiling value of STARS II is $10 billion. The base for the STARS II multiple-award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contract is five-years, while it features one five-year option. The Federal contract allows task orders up to $4 million each for Federal civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) activities.

The project is significant for MicroTech as STARS II provides a wide variety of IT solutions like cybersecurity, information assurance, virtualization, sustainability, health IT, cloud computing, IPV6, VoIP, and Web 2.0 across the government.

“We are thrilled to extend our strong partnership with the GSA in the award of STARS II contract, adding to our extensive list of popular procurement vehicles,” said Tony Jimenez, president and CEO of MicroTech, in a statement.

“MicroTech has a long-standing history of success across the government solutions provider field,” Jimenez added. “STARS II not only extends our capabilities, but also showcases MicroTech service delivery excellence.”

The innovative federal procurement vehicle provides small businesses with the opportunity to support and achieve a broad base of federal government Information technology services. The pre-competed contract vehicle offers shortened procurement lead time and a low user-access-fee built into the contractor’s ceiling prices.
