Datera Inc., a provider of elastic storage for on-premises clouds, today announced a strategic partnership with Redapt, a global systems integrator specializing in data center infrastructure and cloud engineering services. This partnership allows Redapt to distribute Datera’s Elastic Data Fabric (EDF) software through all of its North American channels.

Datera EDF software offers enterprise-class performance coupled with cloud operations and agility for large organizations and service providers looking for scalable, on-premises clouds. This new partnership enables Redapt to provide its customer base with a complete, software-defined storage solution that runs on commodity x86 servers to deliver operational simplicity, economics and choice.

"The datacenter is evolving at such a rapid rate that today’s customers are seeking out new, transformative approaches to data storage," said Flavio Santoni, chief revenue officer of Datera. "We are demonstrating the ability to deliver game changing operational efficiency, scalability, infrastructure flexibility, and consistent high performance at dramatically lower TCO. We are pleased to partner with Redapt to offer customers the agile data management solutions they need to best align to their business goals and succeed in their markets."

"We frequently hear from customers that traditional storage models are rigid, expensive and resource constraining," said Matt Francis, senior director of storage engineering at Redapt. "They often ask us for better, more cost-effective solutions to data storage. Our new partnership with Datera will accelerate the delivery of true scale-out, software-defined storage solution for our customers, effectively lowering their storage TCO and increasing overall profitability."
