Ping Identity, the leader in Identity Defined Security, today announced that the integration of PingAccess with Microsoft Azure Active Directory is now generally available. Together, Azure Active Directory and PingAccess provide an IDaaS solution that gives mobile workers secure access to on-premises applications from any device, without the need for VPNs or modifications to the network infrastructure.

Many enterprises, including 85 percent of Fortune 500 companies, have embraced Azure Active Directory as the identity platform for managing users and providing secure access to thousands of SaaS and on-premises applications. Azure Active Directory handles over one billion authentications daily. This integration with Ping allows enterprises to expand single sign on (SSO) to even more of their on-premises web applications. The result is seamless and secure single sign-on for all applications and all users on all devices and clouds, without the need for a VPN.

Azure Active Directory customers can download PingAccess directly within the Azure Active Directory console at http://aad.portal.azure.com. Azure Active Directory Premium customers can use the integration to connect up to 20 applications at no additional cost. For organizations requiring SSO to more than 20 applications, full PingAccess licenses may be purchased.

Additionally, Ping and Microsoft continue to partner to drive adoption of Azure AD and Office 365 within global enterprises that require a federation bridge with Azure AD by providing customers the flexibility to use either PingFederate or Active Directory Federation Services.

"The importance of this new offering is validated by multiple global Fortune 500 customers that have been successfully leveraging the integration through our beta program," said Andre Durand, CEO and founder, Ping Identity. "Together, Ping and Microsoft are solving a fundamental challenge for the hybrid enterprise today – providing the on-the-go workforce secure access to all of their cloud, mobile and enterprise applications."

"This collaboration allows us to deliver greater value to customers by extending the value of Microsoft Azure Active Directory to more of the on-premises apps that they need to do their jobs," said Alex Simons, Director of Program Management, Microsoft Corp.
