Grazed from Cloud Foundry Foundation and Pivotal

Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard platform for cloud applications, today announced that it would be releasing into the community training and education material, developed and donated by Pivotal, under the Apache open source licensing model, giving anyone the ability to freely use the materials to become more proficient on Cloud Foundry, as well as to contribute to the content.

Cloud Foundry is the world’s only multi-cloud platform. Founded by Pivotal, who donated the core cloud platform technology to the Cloud Foundry Foundation in 2013. Today, the open source cloud platform is collectively developed by Cisco, EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Pivotal, SAP, and leaders in manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial services.

Only Cloud Foundry delivers the velocity you need to continuously innovate new application experiences, as well as run legacy applications at startup speeds. Cloud Foundry’s container-based architecture runs apps in any language on your choice of cloud — Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Platform (GCP), OpenStack, VMware vSphere, SoftLayer and more. With a robust services ecosystem and simple integration to your existing technologies, Cloud Foundry is the modern standard for both mission critical and IoT apps for global organizations.

"As Cloud Foundry becomes the defacto standard for deploying multi clouds, the need for skilled engineers becomes increasingly critical," said Sam Ramji, CEO, Cloud Foundry Foundation. "We deeply appreciate Pivotal’s effort in developing the material and generosity in open sourcing it to benefit the community."
