Search Giant Google Acquired Mobile Cloud Computing Company Agawi Last Year

 In a move that took place in the latter part of 2014 and has not been highly publicized (it is only just being reported in fact), search giant Google acquired mobile cloud computing company Agawi. Led by founders Rajat Gupta, Rohan Relan, and Peter Relan, Agawi has headquarters in Campbell, California, USA. The company bills itself as a technology platform company which specializes in low-latency cloud-to-mobile device app streaming. Alongside mobile it is involved in cloud data services and cloud gaming.

 
Google’s purchase of Agawi could significantly strengthen its mobile capability. The company, formerly known as iSwifter, was originally solely a cloud gaming company and transitioned to focusing on in-app advertising…

Its AppGlimpse solution streams adverts to mobile gamers that can be ‘played’ without the need to actually download an app. AppGlimpse can be accessed through iOS and Android and it is thought that this is the focus of Google’s interest. Beyond acknowledging the acquisition, Google has given no further details as far as the deal is concerned…
