Ikoula Launches New Hybrid Cloud Toolbox Powered by UShareSoft

Ikoula and UShareSoft today announced Ikoula’s new Hybrid Cloud Toolbox, powered by UShareSoft’s UForge AppCenter, cloud application templating and migration services. The Toolbox enables Ikoula customers to easily onboard and migrate applications to Ikoula’s Public Cloud as well as to other public or private clouds. Drawing on UForge’s native hybrid cloud functionality, Ikoula’s Toolbox offers customers a fast, flexible way to take advantage of public cloud benefits with full reversibility and governance. Unlike many other public clouds, Ikoula customers will benefit from:

• Application Factory: the easy-to-use application templating and VM builder enable customers to quickly onboard new cloud-native applications to Ikoula’s cloud, as well as reusing application templates from the global catalog.

• Self-Service Server Migration: customers can easily scan existing live servers in their own datacenter and instantly replicate or migrate their server to Ikoula’s public cloud. Additionally, the Toolbox allows server auditing, updating, patching and customization for cloud governance and security.
• No Lock-In: with UForge universal templating, customers can flexibly create, replicate or move workloads between Ikoula’s public cloud and their own virtual datacenters or private clouds, with full reversibility.
• Keep Software Under Control: unique modeling techniques and multi-tenant private catalogs offer customers full life-cycle management and fine-grained governance over every level of their software stack, from OS packages to application and configuration, as they deploy applications on Ikoula’s Public Cloud.
• Consistency Across Platforms: with support for all leading hypervisors and cloud infrastructures, customers can maintain identical application stacks across Ikoula’s Public Cloud and their own datacenter, ensuring workload consistency regardless of the deployment environment.
