ProtectWise Unveils Cloud Network DVR for Breach Detection

Security startup ProtectWise just debuted its Cloud Network DVR, a service that can record and store enterprise Relevant Products/Services network activity for more than a year. If there’s a network intrusion or breach, IT security Relevant Products/Services professionals can easily playback all recorded activity to help locate the source of trouble.

CEO and co-founder Scott Chasin — who has a long history in network security, including most recently as McAfee’s Chief Technology Officer — described the service as "a virtual camera in the cloud Relevant Products/Services." It records "everything on the network and allows security professionals to see threats in real time." Two Years of Development

Today’s announcement marks ProtectWise’s transition out of stealth mode, a move augmented by receipt of more than $17 million in financing orchestrated by four investment firms: Crosslink Capital, Trinity Ventures, Paladin Capital Group, and Arsenal Venture Partners.
